The SDI Review Process

One of the four outcomes of the SDI Review process is approval, denial or remand for more information. Or recommendation for waiver. The process can be done by either an in-house review team or an external consultant firm. SDI integrates seamlessly into existing portfolios and delivers mission-critical services. SDI offers managed service programs as well as independent contractor compliance programs. In order to provide the best services to clients, the company integrates its business operations.

Results of sdi review include approval, denial and remand to obtain additional information or recommendation for waiver.

Once the SSDI review has been completed, the SSA decides whether it will approve, deny or remand to obtain additional information. The SSA then sends a memo indicating whether or not the data-related agreement has been approved, deferred or remanded to the MDH Unit. The MDH unit can proceed with execution if the agreement is approved.

If an application has been denied, the SSA will issue a second notice. The denied applicant has sixty-five days from that date to request a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ). This hearing is similar in format to the one on disability. This hearing can be held in person or over the telephone, or via videoconference. The hearing will allow the applicant and his or her representative to bring witnesses to testify about issues and the context surrounding the denial. The ALJ might also request expert testimony to support the case. The ALJ will inform the applicant in writing if the application is denied. It may take several months for the hearing to be completed.

A disability review could take up to seven years. It could be denied, approved or remanded if the applicant needs additional information. The SSA may also begin a disability review if the individual has improved medically and could return to work.

Cognito Forms submits data-related agreements to SDI Team

A Data-Related Agreement refers to a legal document that needs approval by the SDI Team. These agreements must go through Cognito forms and include all relevant documentation and the proposed contracts. The SDI Team has 30 days to review a Data-Related Agreement, and they may ask for more information such as security controls and a SOC 2 Type II audit. They can also ask for additional questions, such as data migration questions.

Once a Data-Related Agreement is submitted, the SDI Team will review the documentation and proposed contracts. The Agreement is subject to the same privacy and security policies as other forms of documentation submitted through Cognito Forms.
